The Zumba DVD dance craze is the latest way to get fit whilst doing something that is fun, dancing. Everyone can dance and it works.
There are Zumba dance fitness classes all around the world aimed at burning off those calories while having fun and getting new dance moves for your next party!
Beto Perez created the Zumba DVD dance workouts and he takes you through how to do the core dance moves used throughout the fitness routines.
So what is Zumba?
When Beto originally conceived the idea of Zumba, it was with the view that if you’re dancing and having fun then you won’t notice that you’re also working out! It is all based around the energetic dancing of Cumbia, Reggaeton, Salsa and Soca. He said about Zumba dance that “It is about having fun and moving with the music.” Don’t worry if you think you can’t dance then don’t worry, Beto also said “It is about having fun and moving with the music.” Getting the steps wrong or having two left feet doesn’t matter. Just move with the music and enjoy yourself.”
There are 3 Dance Fitness Workouts on the Zumba DVD to work out to.
First up is: Step and By Step.
There are 4 basic rhythms, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Salsa and Soca. Here you are taught by Beto, Juliana & Prescilla Satori who guide you through this 30 minute session teaching you first the basic moves and them move it up snitch or two in the pace and complexity. You are then given clear and simple to follow guides from Beto to get you grooving in no time.
Next up is: Dance, Dance, Dance.
After mastering the fundamentals in the previous workout you now are given a 30 minute workout where you get the chance to put all those new moves into action as you dance to improve that fitness.
Finally the Zumba DVD offers: Super Cardio Dance Party.
It’s high intensity, it’s cardio and it’s designed to smash those calories! Just watch those pounds fall off while doing your Salsa or Soca. This 45 minute high level workout with the instructors will push you, but their infectious smiles will soon have you smiling with them.
There is an option to turn the voice over instructions on each workout off when you get used to the moves so that you can just dance without any interruptions.
